Amphibious autonomous UAS for maritime SAR, with AI-based mission systems.

  • MARISAL-AI: All-weather aerial person-in-water detection designed for rain, fog and sea spray
  • Landing Controller: Sea-state adaptive autonomous water landing using RL and physics-informed neural networks
  • Water landing capability in Beaufort 4–5 sea states — payload delivery without crew exposure
  • Over 98% CO₂ reduction per sortie vs SAR helicopter

Dual-use: civil SAR (RNLI, MCA) and defence (coastal surveillance, CSAR). Funding sought from Innovate UK, CMDC7 and UKDI.
